Municipal Pool

The Fort Payne City Pool is an Olympic sized pool that features an “L-Shape” with approximately 195,000 gallons of water. The Pool has a  1 Meter Board. The Pool House is complete with restrooms and showers.

Pool Parties

Pool parties may be scheduled through the Parks and Recreation Department by calling the main office at (256) 844-6571. Parties are scheduled Monday – Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. Rent is $200 for the two hours.

Aquacats

The Fort Payne Municipal Pool is also home to the Fort Payne Parks and Recreation Department Swim Team appropriately named the Fort Payne Aquacats. The Aquacats practice at the pool Monday-Friday from 7-9:30 a.m.

Rules

  • All children ages 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times

  • All persons using the splash pad do so at their own risk

  • No running or rough play allowed

  • Swim diapers must be worn at all times by infants and untrained persons.

  • No food, drink, or glass containers on the splash pad area

  • Skateboards, rollerblades, and bikes are not permitted

  • Do not use splash pad during severe weather conditions such as electrical storms or tornadoes

  • No electrical appliances within 10 feet of the splash pad

  • Do not cover water fixtures or drains

  • Those with health problems such as:; diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, infections or open wounds are not allowed on splash pad.

  • Do not climb or hang on equipment or fencing.

  • Any person violating these instructions or rules may be evicted from the park.

  • Splash pad may be closed at any time due to maintenance or other concerns.
