The City of Fort Payne, Alabama is recruiting for a highly qualified, experienced and innovative professional to lead the Parks & Recreation Department as the Parks & Recreation Director. This is an executive level position requiring potential candidates to possess good interpersonal and community relation skills along with the abilities to easily adapt to various situations within a challenging political environment, develop good team dynamics and promote internal staff development. The successful candidate would plan, organize and manage day-to-day projects and activities of the Parks and Recreation department. In addition, candidate will administer and direct specialized operational functions and programs for a multi-disciplinary municipal Parks and Recreation system and provide executive level assistance in department policy, procedures and quality control.
